The Ministry of Health Yellow Fever Immunisation Campaign from 2 to 8 April 2024 aims to protect all persons in Uganda aged 1 year to 60 years by ensuring they are all immunised against Yellow Fever Disease

Yellow Fever is a disease that is caused by a virus (germ). It spreads to human beings through a bite of an infected mosquito carrying the Yellow Fever virus.

These are the signs & symptoms of Yellow Fever:
1. Fever
2. Muscle pain with strong backache, headache
3. Shivers
4. Loss of appetite
5. Nausea or vomiting.
Anyone bitten by a mosquito with Yellow Fever virus can get the disease. Those not immunised & living or working in forests are at higher risk

The immunization campaign is from 2 to 8 April 2024 for persons aged 1 year to 60 years. The FREE services are being offered in Government health facilities and designated outreach immunization posts including schools.
