Hi U-Reporter, the Ministry of Health informs u that there is an outbreak of Conjunctivitis, commonly known as Red Eye disease in schools & other institutions.

Conjunctivitis, or 'Red Eye,' is a very easy disease to catch. It affects the white part of the eyeball and the inside of the eyelid, causing itching, tearing and red eyes.

Red Eye spreads from one infected person to another by touching or shaking hands, touching an object or surface with germs, and then touching your eyes.

The common symptoms of Red Eye disease are: teary red eyes, a grainy sensation and/or scratchy feeling in the eyes, itchiness and irritation in the eyes.
